MoleMann Mental Health, New Authority Centre

MoleMann Mental Health is an active and innovative organisation in child-, adolescence-, and adult psychiatry in the Netherlands. In 18 smallscale units one can get treatment for psychiatric and psychological complaints. MoleMann Works from the perspective of the Structural-Strategic Family Therapy and there is an intensive cooperation between (child)psychiatrists, (clinical)psychologists and familytherapists within the units.

Since 2007 we are inspired by  Haim Omer’s vision on and treatment of families with adolescents. Omer’s concept of New Authority is an integration of the Structural-Strategic Family Therapy and the  the Attachment Theory. In the treatment of adolescents we work intensively with parents, their support system, schools and other institutions.

Since 2008 we developed a structured Family Group therapy program for the Netherlands. Parents get well trained in the principles of New Autority and how to use it in their  families. This training is now available in several units spread over the country.
New Autority is also practised in individual Families and also for different kind of problems such as: anxiety; entitled dependency; schoolrefusal; etc.

The New Authority Centre is the expertise centre on this method in MoleMann. Beside the training program for parents it develops new ideas in treatment, develops courses for Professionals, provide intervision and organises scientific research.
 

Nowadays we can offer:

• Parent-groups, individual parent-counseling and family therapy from the perspective of New Authority in different locations in the Netherlands.
  
• A specialized 6 days course in Amsterdam for Professionals in the method of New Authority, its fundaments in Systemic Theory and Attachment. It also offers a practical basis for starting Parent groups or individual parent counseling. Officially accredited by the NVRG (Dutch Family Therapy Association) and the FGZP (Dutch Federation for clinical Psychologists).
  
• Supervision by Henk Breugem en Lenny Rodenburg, both registrated supervisors by the NVRG.
  
• We give in company training in New Authority for Institutes in the Netherlands.
