EXPOO (Expertisecentrum OpvoedingsOndersteuning) is the Flemish Government’s expert center for parenting and family support. EXPOO wishes to provide practical assistance to the field of parenting support and to this end collects, enhances and disseminates the relevant knowledge and know-how on parenting and parenting support.
In respons to more supportive information and materials in working with parents of adolescents, EXPOO (with Tineke Herwege as project contributor) started to translate the concept of New Authority/Non Violent Resistance to preventive settings in family support. This resulted in a new themed page on the EXPOO website with relevant basic information for professionals, and -in co-operation with VCOK and Hogeschool Gent- in the developing of a script for professionals who want to train parents in NA methods in supportive parent groups

In co-operation with Sociaal.net and Jeugdzorg Emmaüs (youth care, Antwerp), Tineke arranged an interview with Idan Amiel and Goedele Plovie (pedagogical staff member of Jeugdzorg Emmaüs) on the concept of NA, the implementation in organizations and institutions and the translation to preventive family support.
